January Regents Exam Week
I hope the new year brings everyone the best of health and success.
Below, please find a link to the testing schedule for the January 2011 testing period.

This is a challenging time of the year. Traditionally, students begin to relax their educational efforts during the middle part of the year. It is imperative that this not be the case. If you feel that your child is struggling, contact our guidance department at once. We are working hard to identify and assist students who are struggling, but your insights are invaluable
As always If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mr. Galgay off to the diamond at St. Rose
Congratulations to senior Brandon Galgay who will be attending and playing baseball for the College of St. Rose next year. There will be a signing ceremony and reception in the auditorium on 12/15 at 3:30p.m.. All are welcome! This event will be covered by the local media as well.
Brandon is an outstanding athlete and student. We wish him all the best and look forward to following his collegiate baseball career.
It should also be noted that Brandon was named to the 2010 All State Soccer Team. There is a tremendous amount of competition for this award and it is an incredable honor to receive it.

Career Day
I would like to inform you of a very exciting upcoming event for grades 7-12. As was last year, December 23, 2010 students will be participating in a BKW Career Day.
The faculty is currently coordinating guest speakers for the day that will provide career related information to supplement their course curriculum.
The presenters will be attending individual classes and students will follow their regular class schedule. A guest presenter schedule will be provided to the students and be posted on the high school website in advance. Classes that do not have a guest speaker scheduled will be conducted as usual.
If a student wishes to attend a class (speaker) that is not during one of their regular classes, they will need to obtain a pass from their teacher. Passes will be provided only if students are meeting the course expectations.
Should you have any questions, concerns or if you would like to share your knowledge with our students as a presenter, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.
