I am very pleased to announce that Katie Forti won the PTA Outstanding Youth award for the 11th grade level. Liam Hanley won for the 5th grade and Travis Fairlee in the 8th grade.
When PTA President Hanley spoke with the Regional PTA Director for the Northeastern Region, they said that BKW had so many entries this year that they were amazed and thrilled by our response. This is great news for the school, our students and their families.
Mr. Corey and I joined the students, their families and members of the PTA last night for the recognition dinner. Travis and Liam did a great job with their presentations. I was nice to see how proud their families were. Keep up the good work.
Sadly, Katie was not able to attend due to a soccer game that she was playing in. In her absence, her speech was read. It was extremely impressive. Members of the audience were clearly taken back!
Oh, and we won the game as well.
